AUCTION PADDLE
Even simple products offer design and production challenges. A university fundraising coordinator wanted one hundred serialized auction paddles cut and engraved overnight. Substituting acrylic for plywood, my solution adds embedded tabs for attaching inkjet printed cards with elastic bands, and a perimeter shape for dense sheet nesting. I needed a tool path for my laser cutter, so I created a 2D vector graphic, then later reused it to make this ray traced simulation of transparent Plexiglass paddles.
