AUCTION PADDLE
Even simple products offer design challenges. A university fundraising coordinator wanted one hundred serialized auction paddles cut and engraved overnight. Substituting acrylic for plywood, my solution adds embedded tabs for attaching inkjet printed cards with elastic bands, and a perimeter shape for dense sheet nesting. The tool path I created for my laser cutter is a 2D vector graphic. I reused it for this ray traced simulation of transparent Plexiglass paddles.
